Lush rainforest circuits with towering blue gums and rare birds.
About half an hour north of the city, Ravensbourne protects a pocket of cool subtropical rainforest and towering blue gums. Short, well-marked circuits like the Rainforest and Palm Creek walks wind past epiphyte-draped canopies, palm-lined creeks and interpretive signs.
Birdwatchers can look for over 100 species, including the rare black-breasted button-quail. Picnic areas with shelters and BBQs make it an easy nature day trip.
