Spread across 25 hectares of stately trees, sweeping lawns and formal flower beds, Queens Park is the city's most-loved green space. The north-eastern Botanic Gardens dazzle in spring, while playgrounds, cycle paths and open lawns keep families happy year-round.
Come September it becomes ground zero for the Carnival of Flowers, exploding into a riot of colour, and in December it hosts the Christmas Wonderland lights. Free and open daily.
